| Role Summary/Purpose: | Lead Commercial Engineer (Proposal Engineer) for Integrated Water and Waste Water Systems. We are currently seeking high energy, self-motivated and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Lead Commercial Engineers to create and deliver world class Water and Waste Water integrated systems proposals for GEW&PT. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | The Commercial Engineer(CE) will be part of the India Exports Commercial Engineering team. The CE’s role will be to undertake all activities required to produce proposals and costing for integrated multi-process extended scope water & wastewater treatment solutions. This will include overall system process, mechanical & electrical design, costing, & technical writing . The CE will be responsible for ensuring that GE’s offering is “complete” and all costs are accurately captured and rolled up. CE will work closely with Projects Organization and EPC Partners to develop competitive total plant designs in the most cost effective manner possible. Other responsibilities include: o Communicating with the Sales, Process Engineers, and other Application and OTR Engineers to ensure that all design criteria are addressed and met in final design. o Reviewing customer RFQ’s, specifications, and drawings o Coordinating the preparation of CAPEX, OPEX cost estimate of systems, preparing proposal documentation and schedules, and preparing proposal drawings including P&ID’s, Plots, One- Line, Layouts, etc. o Participating in plant surveys, pre-bid and post-bid meetings as required. o Coordination of the development of the execution strategy around the design, procurement, manufacture, installation and commissioning of the GE supplied equipment scope, including the creation of budgets, schedules, resourcing plans and risk scorecards. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in engineering, technical sales, commercial operations or product management of Water, waste water and Zero liquid discharge systems. o Thorough Understanding of Water and Wastewater Treatment Equipment & Processes for Pre/Post treatment (Conventional equipment, MF/UF RO, EDR, EDI, IX, MBR) and the ability to incorporate new types of technologies into designs. Candidates shall have strong technical capability, and an excellent appreciation of how to integrate multiple unit process operations together and be able to co-ordinate total system designs that are optimized from both the perspective of equipment cost and total installation cost. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential as the CE will be working with a diverse and geographically scattered team of engineers. A keen understanding of Project Management processes and project risk are key elements that will factor into the responsibilities of this position. |
