Role Summary/Purpose: | The Project Engineer will be a strong team player with exceptional engineering and interpersonal skills, who will desire to exercise technical and project engineering abilities. The Project Engineer will interface with customers, suppliers, Project Engineers, and across multiple functions within the business, playing a key role in bringing projects to successful completion for Water and Waste Water treatment projects. |
Essential Responsibilities: | In this role, you will: - Provide technical leadership for the full Mechanical Engineering scope in Water and Waste Water projects. - Effectively manage multiple project responsibilities from conceptual design through field startup, including the design and specification of complete plant mechanical systems as well as plant layouts. Projects are Ultra filtration, Membrane Bioreactor, Reverse Osmosis for EPC's and end users in both the domestic and international markets. - When assigned to larger turnkey projects, duties will require multi discipline project engineering coordination with responsibility for all engineering activities required for successful project completion (including managing third party engineering, customer interfaces, and multiple suppliers to meet project objectives) - Add value beyond specific project deliverables, with activities such as identifying and implementing work process and product changes to increase productivity and improve fulfillment and quality of the deliverables - Interact with customers and interact internally between other engineering disciplines, third party engineering subcontractors, project management, sourcing, vendors, site construction, and field startup personnel |
Qualifications/Requirements: | Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology - Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with demonstrated strong technical knowledge of Water and Waste Water treatment plant mechanical equipment and systems - Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, domestically and internationally as required |

- Prior experience in a multi-discipline project engineering role with demonstrated project leadership skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills - Dedication to customer service and fulfillment - Self-starter with ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal assistance - Demonstrated project management skills including coordinating activities across functions - International experience and fluency in a second language - Previous experience with Design of Ultra filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Waste Water treatment plants - Experience in a customer-facing role - Proficiency with MS Office tools and web-based applications |
