| Role Summary/Purpose: | Validated characterization of site-specific wind conditions is fundamental for a reliable assessment of wind turbine loading and power performance. Focus of this internship is to determine a suitable extrapolation method for site-specific wind turbulence to accommodate for lack of measurement data at high wind speeds. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | Developing, testing, and validating the extrapolation method using existing high quality data for a number of sites. Quality criteria: possible to automate, as simple as possible, validated with measurement data for different sites and terrain conditions, and works for all sorts of data records (robust). |
