| Role Summary/Purpose: | Execute Control Software engineering activities (NPI and upgrades) for Topside Drilling Controls (BOP, Riser, Diverter) and other related Drilling equipment associated with Deepwater, Jackup and land rigs. Validation and veriifcation of Controls software to ensure Quality, maintain documentation for all the design. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | -Execute Control system software projects and HMI Upgrades to Mark*Vie control systems. -Develop and test requirements for application, starting from the handoff from the Control Engineering department till FAT and be part of execution and testing at Site/offsite. Work with the Control Engineering team to understand P&ID interpretation & various interfaces with third party systems. Demonstrate strong FTY/OTD and strong problem solving and root causing skills. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | -Masters / Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Controls/Electronics engineering. 3-5 years of experience, Minimum 3 yrs experience in Control Systems applcaition software development for Oil and Gas Drilling/Subse prodcution/Gas, steam Turbine applcaitions. - Hands-on experience with GE Mark VIe series controller for atleast 2 Years & PLC/DCS systems and applicaiton development in GE Toolbox ST. - Experience with Cimplicity HMI and networking with control Systems and third party devices, EGD communication protocol. - Exposure to NPI process and Six Sigma Tools and hands on with tools like FMEA, Risk assessment and FBD. |
