Role Summary/Purpose: In this role, the Energy Storage Sales Account Manager will be responsible for growing the GE Energy Storage business by selling energy storage equipment packages and value-added services to customers in the region. Targeted region may be Texas / Southwest USA or Mid-West USA (MISO) and Canada IESO ISO regions.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Energy Storage Sales Account Manager, you will:
  • Provide direct Sales and account management for customers in assigned territories selling energy storage solutions
  • Be responsible for quarterly financial objectives based on: Orders / Sales Growth and Profitability
  • Support and Interact with Commercial Ops, Field Ops, Engineering and Product Development groups
  • Grow revenues by and identifying additional business opportunities
  • Manage the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process with customers and be accountable for orders pricing / profitability, risk, and terms and condition, services and customer satisfaction
  • Work with utility officials, industry and Engine Services (ES) associations to influence legislation and drive energy storage growth in the assigned territory
  • Participate / present at Industry Events & Seminars to represent and promote GE ES
  • Integrate activities with GE Renewables, Energy Connections as well as other GE businesses to leverage full sales and services capabilities
  • Assist in the development of new market and segment strategies to improve penetration and account growth
  • Provide voice of customer to our engineering and product development teams to develop new technologies

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of renewable (battery, solar or wind turbine) and / or thermal experience sales experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Technology discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the solar, storage and / or power generation industry (experience in the Renewable Energy industry)
  • Sales experience with significant customer interaction
  • "Customer Service" mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Multilingual
  • Able to discuss complex technology in a clear and concise manner with a variety of audience
  • Consistent track record of meeting performance objectives
  • Self-starter with high energy and ability to energize others
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification
  • Power industry market connections in the assigned territory
