Role Summary/Purpose: | The Global Solar Business is ramping up development of commercial and industrial on-site solar projects. To support rapid growth, we will be adding a Solar Project Developer which will be responsible for driving new solar project development from concept to reality. |
Essential Responsibilities: | You will be responsible for fully scoping, designing, permitting, and pricing multiple customer sited PV projects simultaneously in order to drive project volume and solar revenue. As Solar Project Developer, you will: - Drive customer engagement and manage internal deal teams from initial meetings and conceptual pitches to firm contracts and contract signatures, championing the GE Solar business and the responsibilities of the GE brand - Be responsible for turnkey develop customer sited PV projects greater than 300kw (per) and targeting 20%+ CM at completion - Develop influential relationships with target customers / suppliers at all levels, understand decision-making processes, and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers - Integrate and lead the technical support team, including engineering, contracts, finance, project support, supplier quotes, incentive applications, etc. in the implementation of project strategies - Maintain knowledge of solar market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base - Work with Business leader to develop new products and services for business growth |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university - Minimum of 5 years of solar development experience, real estate development experience, or equivalent experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Ability and willingness to travel, as required - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening |
