Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Process Engineer is responsible to make decisions on optimized water, water reuse and wastewater process designs within the respective region, as well as to trouble-shoot regional projects with effective management skills. The position requires a combination of technical process design expertise in water and wastewater treatment along with commercial expertise in technical sales and customer relationship. Therefore, the candidate shall have expertise in the field of water and wastewater
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Develop/Prepare/Review all final Process Designs (e.g.: firm and final budgetary proposals) for accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards in the Region.

2. Review all final proposals and bid documents for tendered projects in the Region. Develop winning bid strategies and design concepts with Commercial Engineering and Sales team.

3. Assist Commercial Eng. and Sales in strategic positioning of key projects in the Region.

4. Provide expert advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects

5. Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering

6. Develop process designs and experimental program for water & wastewater pilots. Review and approve operating changes. Review proposals prepared by Pilot Project Manager. Review and approve pilot reports.

7. Develop/maintain relationships with key regional consultants.

8. Assist Commercial Eng. / Sales team with sales calls to clients, owners and consultants.

9. Assist with coordination of work and priorities within the Region.

10. Mentor Commercial Engineers for process design.

11. Continuously update information/knowledge of regulatory requirements within the region.

12. Provide process design support (incl. Eng. calculations) to project execution team following project award as required:
a. Prepare Process Descriptions, mass balance, equipment sizing
b. Review AO package,
c. Assist with timely preparation of control narrative, engineering drawings (PFDs, P&IDs Hydraulic Profile, Layout etc.)
d. Assist in the preparation of the process/trouble shooting sections of Operating and Maintenance manuals

13. Provide process support and expertise during start-up, commissioning proof of performance test and operator training, as required.

14. Provide process support / optimization and trouble shooting for existing plants as required.

15. Provide support to Field Services team when required on a case by case basis.

16. Review and become knowledgeable with competing membrane technology

17. Present Technical Papers at conferences or seminars.

18. Document lesson learned from operating plants and provide feedback to Process Group and Engineering.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Masters in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or other technical discipline

2. Minimum of 8 years practical experience including Piloting, Commissioning and Operation and Maintenance, preferable greater than 12 years in process design of water and wastewater treatment systems.

3. Experience / Exposure to Regional / International projects related to water (fresh, sea, pure) treatment and wastewater reuse

4. Understanding of regional Water & wastewater reuse market

5. The incumbent should be familiar with MBR ,RO & Zero Liquid discharge systems, as well as conventional treatment unit operations such as sand filtration, DAF, clarification, coagulation, IX, biological treatment.

6. Fluent in both the respective main regional language and English (verbal and written) is essential.

7. Ability to travel regionally and internationally.

2. Professional engineering designation
3. Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, presentation, influencing, facilitation, and computer skills.
4. Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality
5. Ability to make good business decision- Capable of understanding /requirements identified in the technical specifications
6. Self-motivated, ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
