| Role Summary/Purpose: | This team will be developing products that will help power the Industrial Internet working on all the industrial products of Onshore and Offshore Wind, Hydro and Solar. You will be working on the Engineering Services DevOps team. Responsible for building & supporting Continuous Integration & Delivery for applications deployed into the Predix.io Industrial Internet Cloud. Work closely with APM DevOps team,Predix DevOps team, Cloud Operations team, product managers, & key architects. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | You will be working on the Engineering Services DevOps team. You will be responsible for building & supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for applications deployed into the Predix.io Industrial Internet Cloud. You will work closely with the APM DevOps team, the Predix DevOps team, the Cloud Operations team, product managers, & key architects. In this role, you will: - Build Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment software tools that will support, enhance and grow our CI and CD capabilities - Assist the engineering teams by improving productivity in development integration and Automation - Improve our knowledge base and provide thought leadership in development automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery - Create automation scripts, UI’s, and continuous integration systems that enhance and expand our CI/CD services -Demonstrate clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions - Influence through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas - Proactively identify and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) - A minimum of 4+ years professional experience in DevOps; OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in DevOps |

- Significant experience with Linux/ Unix Operating systems and one or more scripting languages (e.g. bash, perl, python) - Significant experience working with Jenkins (including plugins) or other build automation tools - Significant experience with one or more of the following: GIT, GitHub, SVN - Significant experience in automation and scripting using Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Bash, CFEngine, etc on Linux/*nix - Experience with one or more of the following: Artifactory, Nexus, or other artifact storage tool - Experience with Maven and/or other build tools - Applied experience with modern application technologies and design patterns including Cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, horizontal scaling, and database technologies - Proven success working with and optimizing applications for large scale enterprise performance - Experience tuning the performance of Java applications in virtual environments - Embraces technology trends that drive intelligent automation Business Acumen: - Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments - Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems - Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks - Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective - Able to work under minimal supervision - Encourages input from all members of the team - High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity - Able to energize teams through inclusiveness and connection with people - Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
