Role Summary/Purpose: | He or She will autonomously design and execute control system engineering projects for the Oil&Gas industry, with a particular focus on gas compression units (both reciprocating and centrifugal machinery) and steam turbines applications (mechanical drive or generator drive). He or She will perform one or more design jobs in parallel, interact with multiple disciplines (systems, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical) for job requirement to ensure on time delivery with highest Quality. |
Essential Responsibilities: | Execute Control system requisition projects starting from the ITO (Inquiry To Order) up to final delivery of the equipments. Support actively O&G Control teams during the projects execution. - Execute the control software documentation starting from the basic design, by supporting the P&Is and Hazop meetings development. Ensure that all the functional safety requirements are catered and that the system is compliant with the customer contractual specifications and international rules. - Control System Design for Reciprocating Compressors, Centrifugal Compressors and Steam Turbine applications according to customer technical specifications and applicable safety standards; issuing of project technical documentation (e.g. functional design specifications (FDS’s), control philosophy, factory acceptance test (FAT) procedure and relative check lists) and generating Purchase specification for the Control system, Anti-Surge Valve and Anti-Surge Flow Element as per project scope of supply - Support the UCS software-testing phase using dynamic simulator of plant developed and customized for the specific job. The modeling of overall system is a cross-functional work, that the control engineer will lead and coordinate with others engineering project team members. - Provide a timely and effective communication on project status or significant criticalities with Headquarter team - Coordinate external resources for engineering activities development, providing constructive technical growth feedbacks - Participate as a presenter in technical project meetings. |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor/Master in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication or Computer Science (for PLC & HMI) Engineering. - At least 8 years of experience within an engineering environment. Extensively worked on Control system designing involving basic & detail engineering, Software programming and Panel engineering (preferably in O&G environment) - Knowledge of GE O&G products - Fluent English - Ability to work in (multi cultural) team in a matrix organization - Self motivated, ability to identify practical and innovative ways to meet business goals |
