Essential Responsibilities: | This effort requires strong leadership to drive effective collaboration and proactively communicate to business partners and meet stringent delivery timelines for the business. The Logistics program will be one of the key drivers for the overall Power & Water ERP transformation. Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for the overall IT Operations and Business Support for the Logistics systems footprint in the Power & Water business, specifically Oracle technologies. You will be the GE focal contact for Logistics systems and related systems used in production (OTM, GTM, Oracle SOA, ILS, E2Open, webMethods, PC Miler, SMC3 Rateware) to drive high performance and availability for continued business operations. You will institute and drive Logistics production systems council with purpose to collaborate with Power & Water business operations, vendor and IT teams to streamline and eliminate issues that thwart business continuity. You will proactively build and drive partnership with Oracle and GE and vendor technology teams to be on top of technology refresh, obsolescence, patching, maintenance and minor upgrades on all levels of the technology stack. You will benefit having a strong technical background managing Oracle ERP or Edge technologies in the past to be successful in this role. In addition you will, - Work with Power & Water Central and Business ERP teams to support movement of OTM/GTM releases into production and change control - Manage and communicate key Logistics systems support metrics, project reviews, cost out initiatives and comply with enterprise initiatives for production operations - Work with OTM hosting service provider and internal shared IT teams to measure on performance and availability, system health checks, disaster recovery testing - Keep on top of Logistics systems to perform periodic health checks, monitoring and reporting of key metrics - Focal point to vendor support team leadership to discuss and update on their performance to drive operations excellence across the board - Build strong business partnership and actively pulse user experience to drive operational improvements through FastWorks approach - Manage multiple projects and issue resolution simultaneously, support global business teams and ability to multitask is key - Ensure PMO, PMM and vendor management processes are aligned, planned for and followed - Manage and be on top of application maintenance renewals for Logistics footprint and POs to eliminate operational risk to systems - Effectively manage operations budget (infrastructure and support, managed services and application license costs) and expenses to meet operating plan and apply liquidation where necessary to the right recipients - Lead and drive Change Control Board for Logistics systems in Production - Be flexible about work schedules during key quarter end periods to support business operations - Facilitate effective training for vendor and business teams on GE ITIL processes to be effective to support production operations - Be an effective change agent |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university - Minimum 5 years of project management experience in medium to large programs - Minimum 5 years of experience working with offshore / onshore virtual teams - Strong understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ServiceNow |
