Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Gas Turbine Control Systems Engineer, Services will design and implement upgrades to gas turbine control systems. They will be exposed to all aspects of the turbine control system – application software, controls hardware and networking. This individual will understand the entire control system as well as the fundamentals of turbine operation and how those fundamentals interact with the control system to deliver optimum value to the customer.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition you will:

  • Work with a mentor and experienced engineers
  • Utilize problem-solving, technical and interpersonal skills
  • Develop and apply advanced control technologies to gas turbine aftermarket applications
  • Write, test and develop requirements for turbine application code
  • Design and implement control networks using the latest network technologies
  • Develop new control technologies into packaged product offerings
  • Interface with systems, operability and control teams to ensure complete system integration
  • Develop software and operator graphics for GE Controls platforms
  • Lead Factory Acceptance / Software Acceptance Tests with customers
  • Support site installations
  • Lead projects with ultimate responsibility for quality and schedule metrics
  • Mentor junior engineers to develop technical depth
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical or nuclear) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of gas turbine related controls experience

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
