| Role Summary/Purpose: | Technical Leader for Control Software team is fully responsible for design and execute control system engineering projects for Topside Drilling Controls (BOP, Riser, Diverter) and other related Drilling equipment associated with Deepwater, Jackup and land rigs Work closely with stakeholders (systems, electrical, instrumentation) for job requirement to ensure on time delivery with highest Quality. Provide technical mentoring to team IN NPI development and Conducting technical reviews. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | Lead team to Execute Control system software projects and HMI Upgrades to Mark*Vie control systems by owning, developing and applying advanced control technologies for Oil and Gas Drilling controls systems. Write, test and develop requirements for application, starting from the handoff from the Control Engineering department till FAT with Supplier & Customer. Proactively work with the Control Engineering team & plan the Software development Cycle. Work closely with the Engineering Manager of Software team & Engineering managers of Control Engineering team to develop control System software for all the Product Range of Topside Drilling controls. Lead the team to develop a strong technical depth on standards and regulations to ensuring the right level of execution of Control Software projects for Drilling controls. Develop Domain Expertise among the team on Oil and Gas Drilling applcaition would be an added advantage. Build Strategy and vision for the NPI team with continuous improvement, innovation & expertise. Build Lab infrastrucure and Enhance testing capabilities. To Root cause and solve technical problems, particularly in the area of Controls Software and Design. Sets and delivers team stretch goals, drives decision making. Drives FTY/OTD metrics for the team across mulitple projects. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | -Masters / Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Controls/Electronics engineering. 8-11 years of experience, Minimum 5yrs experience in Control Systems Design, Selection & System Architecture for Oil and Gas Drilling/Subse prodcution/Gas, steam Turbine applcaitions. - Hands-on experience with GE Mark VIe series controller for atleast 5 Years & PLC/DCS systems and applicaiton development in GE Toolbox ST. - Experience with Cimplicity HMI and networking with control Systems and third party devices, EGD communication protocol. - Exposure to NPI process and Six Sigma Tools and hands on with tools like FMEA, Risk assessment and FBD. -Travel required within India and to other Global sites. |
