| Role Summary/Purpose: | - Assess suitability of a wind turbine for site conditions by performing system level loads simulations and ensuring component margins - Devise micro-siting layout optimization to minimize wake losses and maximize power production - Employ load mitigation strategies to enable turbine suitability for site conditions - Leverage Turbine controls and operability conditions to perform system optimization - Understand component capabilities to enable suitability for site conditions |
| Essential Responsibilities: | - Serve Sales & Commercial Operation teams for Wind Turbine Micro-siting and Wind farm risk assessment - Perform Mechanical Loads Analysis (MLA) of Wind Turbine models at site environmental conditions - Apply load mitigation strategies to enable turbine suitability at site conditions - Liaise with component teams to understand the true component limits and apply for site-suitability - Work with tool development engineers and third parties to automate and simplify MLA tools and processes - Devise strategies for faster MLA |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering - 1-2 years of relevant Engineering Experience - In-depth knowledge of structural dynamics and fatigue - Hands-on experience in aero-elastic simulation tools & MATLAB - Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset and creativity - Affluent communication skills in English – Verbal & Written - Good Interpersonal communication skills to work in a global team framework. |
