Role Summary/Purpose: The Energy Storage OTR Program Manager will lead the matrix organization in the planning and execution of all requisition projects.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:


  • Work with Commercial Operations and sourcing teams during the ITO phase to develop project delivery schedule per lead times
  • Develop strategies, plans & cost models for installation & commissioning, spares management and long-term service agreements.
  • Closely work with the sourcing team to evaluate and qualify EPC partners for turnkey project scope
  • Work with customers to develop project EPC plans for each requisition
  • Develop Customer Operations and Maintenance training & documentation plans for each requisition
  • Work with functional leaders to create cross-functional project plans that include project schedules, resource plans, and budgets
  • Lead and coordinate Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Field Services activities to execute project plans within budget and schedule, challenging team members and functional managers on performance when necessary
  • Manage project-related communications with the customer, including status updates, technical and commercial reviews, and all other information exchanges
  • Provide formal internal status updates to Energy Storage leadership
  • Create a collaborative, fast-paced, and quality-oriented environment
  • Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership and compliance
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Math / Sciences from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum 5 years of project or program management experience

    ELIGIBILTIY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time or more to customer and supplier sites, as requied
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
    Desired Characteristics:
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited College or University
  • Experience of wind and solar power generation projects
  • Experience planning and implementing field engineering projects
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), PMP, or CAPM certification
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Experience with the ITO / OTR processes and Toll-Gate project structure
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in meeting project/program goals, while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and cost requirements
  • Knowledge of program / project management, project accounting, resource management, services, field operations, engineering, supply chain, and/or business management processes
  • Lean, six sigma, or equivalent quality problem solving expertise
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in customer-focused problem solving
  • Self-directed, highly detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Accomplishments that reflect leadership, teamwork, integrity, and accountability
  • The balance of work time will be spent at Energy Storage headquarters located in Schenectady, New York
