Role Summary/Purpose: The PGS Engineering Campaign Cost Leader will be responsible for leading the overall execution of the gas turbine, steam turbine and generator campaign fulfillment competitive cost strategy for Power Generation Services.
Essential Responsibilities: As the PGS Engineering Campaign Cost Leader, you will:


  • Work seamlessly with the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator Product Management, Project Management and Installation Services teams to define campaign fulfillment cost reduction roadmaps to meet PGS cost reduction targets
  • Define campaign to-from configuration and installation “standards” for key B/E and F-class Gas turbine, steam and generator campaigns
  • Lead campaign benchmarking to establish experience-based baseline cost walks (hardware, software, engineering, project management and installation)
  • Work with Project Management and Installation Services to maintain / update campaign white papers and JCEs as required
  • Work with the Design Engineering, Requisition Engineering and Project Management teams to define Order To Remittance (OTR) process should-cost models and cost reduction roadmaps
  • Be responsible for maintaining the gas, steam and generator campaign fulfillment handbook costs, working in partnership with finance, project management, installation services and product management
  • Drive quarterly campaign fulfillment cost pulses and annual standard updates
  • Define New Product Introduction (NPI) outage requirements to minimize product cost and maximize PGS profitability
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in gas turbine engineering
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and/or Generator design, manufacturing or project management
  • Proven analytical skill set and strategic mindset with demonstrated track record of say/do
  • Demonstrated success leading in a matrix environment
  • Track record of working constructively with large cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work independently and with global teams
  • Solid understanding of requisition, project management and uprate installation cost drivers
  • Strong technical acumen and presentation skills
  • Ability to push through any barrier in the interest of reducing costs
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
