| Role Summary/Purpose: | The Role is available in the Custom product engineering/Requisition Engineering team of Small Industrial motors based in Hyderabad. This team works on custom engineering of small motors from 0.5 HP to 750 HP which are manufactured In North America. The team at Hyderabad receives orders from Inside sales representatives across the globe and creates necessary engineering documents like drawings, bill of materials and calculations. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | The Role involves - Understand customer requirements based on the specifications; seek clarification from commercial team if there are any gaps. - Understand various international standards like NEMA and IEC and interpret customer requirements. - Create drawings and Bill of materials. - Do necessary engineering calculations like bearing life, shaft stress etc. - Complete the engineering of orders within the specified lead times and with Quality. - Provide necessary engineering support to commercial teams like answering technical questions from customers. - Support plant and resolve any issues related to engineering/Design - Work for continuous-improvement of product and processes. - Create necessary internal engineering standards and manufacturing standards. - Provide technical support to application engineering teams on day to day techno commercial enquiries. - Collaboratively work with other team members to achieve business goals. - Effectively communicate with stake holders for the day to requirements. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical engineering with 2-5 years’ experience in the design engineering function, preferably in rotating electrical machines. |
