Role Summary/Purpose: The Strategic Marketing Leader for GE Current, powered by GE Energy Storage platform, will be responsible for growing GE’s business in the distributed energy generation and efficiency space. You will lead a team of analysts focused on market development, policy analysis, business development targeting, and competitive intelligence to execute a wide variety of strategic marketing initiatives to grow Current, which include solar, and energy storage.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Strategic Marketing Leader, you will be responsible for market development, competitive intelligence, policy analysis, and business development targeting.


In addition, you will:


  • Understand and describe policy, market and technology trends, perform competitive analysis, and define global and local market and customer segmentation
  • Develop strategic plans and business cases for distributed energy generation and energy efficiency products and services, present them to company executives, and then drive their implementation throughout the organization
  • Define business models and go-to-market strategy in each targeted geography, and propose and support implementation of related delivery models
  • Understand and model key economic performance within this market
  • Build network with key market stakeholders, and develop partnerships with key industry players to accelerate business growth
  • Develop value propositions and solution requirements to address customer needs and work with Current General Managers to drive product development meeting these needs
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management or related experience

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 15% domestically and internationally, as required
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
    Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Finance
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Graduate of GE leadership development program (RELP (Renewable Energy Leadership Program), ECLP (Executive Commercial Leadership Program), CLP (Commercial Leadership Program)) (GE Employees Only)
  • Evidence of promotion and strong performance in a management consulting or banking firm
  • Strong knowledge of the renewable energy market, customers, regulatory framework and Current competitors, networking abilities
  • Experience with fundamental marketing concepts, strategies and tools, and building business cases and project plans
  • Strong and versatile technical background with the ability to visualize how hardware products, communications technologies, software products, and services can be deployed to deliver a complete solution
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and convey complex technical and marketing concepts effectively and good listening skills
  • Superior Excel and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in simple unambiguous form
  • Comfortable working as a team player with many diverse groups in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to influence & convince stakeholders and customers at all levels of an organization
  • Innovative and creative thinker
  • Proven ability to operate in a multi-billion dollar, global-matrix organization
