Role Summary/Purpose: | The Development Engineer will work as part of the process engineering team in support of process applications, pilot, design and product engineering in line with business and engineering deliverables. The Development Engineer supports new and existing applications and will work with the Project Development Team, Equipment Sales group, and Field Sales in developing projects from concept through to final proposal, and continuous improvements, focusing mainly on leadership of any developmental work |
Essential Responsibilities: | - Run membrane and pilot studies on-site, including plan all logistics of trial. Lead the collection and review of the pilot results, including failure analyses. - Write pilot protocols, final pilot reports, and price pilot studies. - Support process opportunities and ED replacement part business by working directly with customers, sales teams, and Project Development team. - Help develop final equipment solution and support creation of firm proposal. Communicate with Project Developers to ensure that all design criteria and pilot results are communicated and met in final design. - Review customer specifications, design of fluid treatment system, and technical communication with customers. - Interface with vendors and internal contacts (project managers, sales, design engineering, manufacturing) to insure that technical information is correct and accurately communicated from pilot to firm proposal to Order to Remittance process if necessary. - Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are completely and accurately documented to provide and accurate technical and historical base for future reference and to meet customer and end user requirements. - Trouble shoot GE equipment over the phone or in person with our customers. - Travel to customer locations for pilot test, sales calls, troubleshooting, design review meetings or traveling to trade shows. - Support Process HAZOP reviews internally and externally. - Assist in project installations and start-ups as needed. - Support existing business and develop new applications or test new products within existing accounts. |
