Role Summary/Purpose: | The Wind 3MW Platform Team is seeking a System Engineer with demonstrated wind turbine system expertise to provide leadership in the development and implementation of key NPI, NTI, RCA and DMP projects. |
Essential Responsibilities: | The Wind 3MW Platform Team is seeking a System Engineer with demonstrated wind turbine system expertise to provide leadership in the development and implementation of key NPI, NTI, RCA and DMP projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating the Wind Turbine system (main shaft, main bearing, gearbox, bedplate, generator frame, yaw bearing, yaw drive, couplings, brakes, nacelles, tower and other mechanical components) for all 3MW Platform Wind Turbine products. The individual will lead major new product technical requirements, root cause analyses and cost reduction projects for 3MW Wind Turbines. He / she will perform system tradeoffs and create design instructions for new programs that translate business requirements to actionable design requirements. The systems Engineer shall be the key interface to local German building codes and market requirements as well local supply chain for major turbine components.
