Should conceptualize/realize research proposals in these areas and drive Intellectual Property generation.
Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for concept development and implementation of R&D tasks in a collaborative global team environment on projects as applied to Power conditioning, UPS, Motors/Drives, Renewable Energy and Power Supplies; Principal responsibilities include: concept formulation, analysis/modeling, design and validation of power electronics circuits and systems. Interact and understand customer needs and develop technologies to meet their requirements. Should be able to deliver on projects with solid technical contributions.
Qualifications/Requirements: PhD or MS (with relevant experience in an industrial environment) in Electrical Engineering. Strong theoretical and experimental background in power electronic circuits and systems including circuit topologies, power semiconductor devices, high frequency power conversion, electro-magnetics and magnetic design. Knowledge of Renewable Energy Sources and Storage Devices is a plus. Experience in real time controllers/simulation tools such as Saber and Matlab/Simulink and hands-on experience in application of power electronic circuits is required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics: Global R&D experience. Strong technical knowledge of electric machines, magnetic design and renewable energy sources like Wind and Photovoltaic, including grid interconnection issues. Strong innovation track record, leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of the team. This position is for high potential candidates with world-class expertise and motivation.
