| Role Summary/Purpose: | The incumbent in this role will have responsibility of local & global sourcing of Chemical, Filters and project related products for GE Water business in India and abroad. The incumbent will perform required functions from firming up sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial pricing & other terms negotiation and identifying & executing cost out ideas. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | - The incumbent will perform required functions from firming up sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial pricing & other terms negotiation and identifying & executing cost out ideas in CMS portfolio. - Incumbent will also be responsible for supplier’s performance on delivery, quality, cash & compliance front. - Liaison with the Engineering, product, plant & global teams to get new suppliers on board & products work flow approved. Responsible for obtaining & negotiating optimum Minimum Order Quantities & Lead time from the suppliers for the sourced products. - Perform continual market analysis and monitor supplier progress - Support product & sales team on providing supplier reference/ quotes for product bidding to customers - Support regulatory audits, EHS elements and process improvement initiatives at India CMS suppliers - Lead initiatives (like Cash, On Time Delivery) for India Water sourcing - Lead & participate daily/ weekly supplier & product qualification, delivery & other calls with local and/or global teams. - Prepare daily, weekly, monthly analysis reports and status of the jobs assigned |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Engineering degree or equivalent preferably in Chemical/ Mechanical or equivalent - Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing - Fluent English (both spoken and written). - Strong communication skills, ERP Packages (SAP), Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Excel. |
