Role Summary/Purpose: The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor provides direction and assistance to the work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: · Plan and schedule all mechanical maintenance activities like for examplle corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on equipments like gas turbines, steam turbines, steam condenser, heat recovery steam generators, pumps, instruments, actuators and all other typical equipment in a combined cycle powerplant.
· Lead by example in all GE initiatives including EHS, HR, Six Sigma, Quality, and computerized maintenance management
· Train, supervise, and manage employee's activities and resources for maintenance and/or repair of all mechanical equipment, following GE practices
· Coordinate all maintenance activities between customer, contractors, other GE divisions, and/or affiliates
· Order, track, receive, and direct the unloading and storing of maintenance parts
· Maintain availability on 24 hour per day call basis with backup from the facility staff
Qualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related is preferred (or high school diploma) with at least 4 years of demonstrable knowledge on powerplant operations and maintenance.
· At least 1 additional year of experience in a management role
. Availability to live in Santa Fe, Argentina
