| Role Summary/Purpose: | He/She works on O&G Electrical team requisition team of GE Oil & Gas Business. He/She shall work closely with the global & Local Electrical functional teams. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | The Electrical Application Engineer has the responsibility to drive the process to prepare technical proposals and all the costs associated for specifically electrical components and systems In particular the ideal candidate has to - Provide technical selection for Medium Voltage Drives and Rotating Electrical Machinery (ie motors and generators) - Drive Customers’ technical discussions during the Inquiry to Order Phase, being reference point for interface with Vendors to select appropriate Electrical Systems in accordance with Contract Specifications - Keep link with Engineering and Sourcing during the Technical Proposal generation process - Build the most competitive and appropriate technical proposal according to Customer scope of supply and specifications, defining the costs and all the necessary spec exceptions The position involves a significant amount of international travel. Regular interaction with Customers of the Oil&Gas businesses is also fostered and the candidate will lead technical presentation and customer interaction. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - MS in Electrical Engineering - Min. of 3 years of design or application engineering for Electrical Variable Speed Drive Systems and - Power Generation machinery - Knowledge of machinery and processes relevant to the Oil&Gas industry - Commercial or Application Engineering background - Fluency in English. |
