HTC is a 700+ strong engineering site for GE hosting multiple businesses like GE O&G, GE P&W and GE Energy management covering the breadth of domains from Exploration of energy to utilization of Energy. It is involved in?

- Complete engineering for Controls systems for O&G and Power Generation applications

- SCADA SW development and validation for Wind & Solar Farms

- Transmission and Distribution SW (Substation Automation, M&D, GIS, EMS, OMS, PMU’s, PDC’s) and HW design & development including Implementation

- Design & development of Energy Meters, Motors, UPS, ATS & SPD’s

- Development and upgrade of Control systems for Jenbacher gas engines

- Product Development and Support for Industrial solutions including Breakers, Equipment, Electronics and Resi Controls.

- Design and Development of Sensing solutions for Thermal validation & Buildings, Buildings and Flow Measurements

Role Summary/Purpose: Engineering Manager for Controls Architecture team is fully responsible for providing the technology and people leadership for the team in Hyderabad working with the global stakeholders. He/She will lead Control System design & development team for Gas Turbine Generator drive & Compressor drives. He/she will be managing 40+ Projects & 15+ member team working across the entire Turbo machinery Control Hardware performing design, validation and product support with significant Growth opportunity.
Essential Responsibilities: Lead the team to Execute Control system Hardware requisition projects starting from the Concept phase to FAT with Supplier & Customer.

Proactively work with the Control System Software team & plan the HW development Cycle.
Lead the team to develop the Control System Architecture for all the Product Range of Turbo machinery Equipment.

Lead the team to develop the Engine Controls Expertise for standard Power Generation & Mechanical drive application for different Oil & Gas Application.
Domain Expertise development of different Oil & Gas applications would be an added advantage.

Ensure that all the functional safety requirements are catered and that the system is compliant with the customer contractual specifications and international rules.

Support the UCS software-testing phase using dynamic simulator of plant developed and customized for the specific job.

Support GE Oil & Gas Engineering and Sourcing team in BCC supplier qualification

Provide a timely and effective communication on project status or significant criticalities with Headquarter team

Participate as a presenter in technical project meetings & Leadership meetings

Drive development and retention of talent, and building a learning organization and own the Technical depth assessment of the Team.

Drive the DMP/innovation initiatives to instill a culture of creativity and innovation to fuel growth for the business.

Assess opportunities to drive collaboration with regional commercial/product line and sourcing organizations when such needs arise.

He/She shall drive working on consistent processes for career development, IDP, Salary planning for his team.

He/She shall also be involved in support driving the DMP/innovation initiatives to inculcate a culture of creativity and innovation to fuel growth for the business.
Qualifications/Requirements: Masters / Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Controls/Electronics engineering

13+ years of experience in an engineering position
Minimum 8 yrs experience in Control Systems Design, Selection & System Architecture. Technical management Minimum 5+ years of leading diverse big teams of 10 members or above
Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma and New Product Introduction processes
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate & empower others
Proven ability to manage projects in a multitasking environment
Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels and across functions
Extensive background in industrial electronic product development and application
