Role Summary/Purpose: | Technical Leader 5 is responsible for design, development and support design activities for Advanced Sensors for the thermal validation and Protimeter product lines. Duties may include: supporting all aspects of mixed signal electronics, responsibility for hardware and software execution and technical support for the stated applications; overseeing engineering release and revision. |
Essential Responsibilities: | Perform duties to design complex boards for mixed signal and Radio frequency applications. Responsible for definition of requirements, execution of design, analysis, development, testing and control of engineering projects. Exercises technical direction over other engineers or engineering functions to design interfaces and logic appropriate for Advanced sensors products. Provides technical leadership for advanced technology development - Performs complex design analysis - Develops engineering designs (including subsystems) - Implements engineering changes - Initiates documents to provide engineering authority and to maintain data - Maps and manages system requirements - Works with engineering functions, suppliers and manufacturing to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs - Plans and implements test and/or development programs -Understands and implements technical details of digital and analog electronics, signals and communication protocols, grounding, shielding, interconnection methods, Ethernet and data communication, wireless technologies mainly RF -specifying, evaluating, selecting, and applying controllers and components for data acquisition boards, Single board computers. |
Qualifications/Requirements: | Masters or Graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with knowledge in mixed signal electronics , signal processing, modeling, and simulation - 8+ years’ experience in development of system engineering and electronics board design- - Understanding of data acquisition boards, single board computers - Excellent skills on Matlab/Simulink, PSpice for system modeling and controls design -knowledge on test automation using NI tools |
