Role Summary/Purpose: IT Operations Project Manager
Essential Responsibilities: IT Operations Project Manager will be a member of the PGS PEIT Parts operations team. The Project Manager will drive IT Operational Excellence for the Parts business applications, lead key Parts IT Operations initiatives. The project manager is also required to build strong partnership with Parts IT team members, PGS PEIT Ops team members, BPS, GIS, ETS, Shared Services and other key IT and functional teams.
Qualifications/Requirements: Education:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university

Experience:

- 5-10 years’ experience in the field of Information Technology

- 3-5 years’ experience in IT project management

Other requirements:

- Leadership of IT support activities of selected applications, modules, business areas within Parts IT Ops team

- Involvement in Parts IT Ops team activities in the areas of system improvements, application support consolidation, bullet trains for cost out’s, etc.

- Prepare & distribute key PEIT application support metrics, project reviews, execution of IT Ops projects and activities.

- Coordinate operational program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing benchmarks, and developing training plans

- Involvement in technology discussions and forums focused on improving the day to day IT and system experience of end users

- Keep up to date with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their use

- Own issue / risk identification, escalation, resolution, & status processes with functional and IM stakeholders across Parts, PGS, Shared Services, Technical COE’s and Functional leadership

- Cooperate with process leaders across IT and Functional teams to gain commitment and drive project deliverables

- Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-going delivery & operational support of high quality, cost effective solutions

- Partner and coordinate with PGS PEIT Operations and program teams to identify and execute on opportunities for standardization and simplification

- Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns verbally or in writing.

- Green / Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only)
- Advanced Technical Degree or MBA
- General ERP applications knowledge
- Experience with Oracle ERP applications
- Infrastructure / hardware knowledge
- Solid facilitation and presentation skills to lead IT sessions with business and technical audiences
- Experience working in matrix environments and with global teams
- Business acumen and proven ability to build relationships with business, client & external teams
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working with program management methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, etc.
- Technical skills with multi-platform and multi-discipline
- Passionate about driving change / influence over cross-functions
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work with/lead offshore support teams
- Quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques.
