Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Engineer – HGP Life Optimization will be responsible for supporting GE Power Generation Services with developing and integrating productivity programs in asset life management technologies focused on HGP systems. Initiatives will include development of concepts like Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), repair and replacement lifing, and analytics for risk management.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role you will lead projects supported by cross-functional teams that include Hardware Design Engineering, Repair Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Product Services Engineering, MS&A Center, and others.


In addition, you will:


  • Understand and assess risks associated with Power Generation Services initiatives
  • Develop processes and tools that predict deterioration and remaining useful life of gas turbine components
  • Develop CBM inspection service limits based on a thorough understanding of component capabilities and deteriorations modes
  • Lead, investigate, quantify and develop opportunities for optimizing CBM repair
  • Support unit-specific maintenance interval entitlement initiatives focused on HGP systems
  • Support other GE businesses and internal / external customers
  • Establish and communicate program objectives and integrate cross functional teams
  • Integrate CBM with new product platforms into commercial opportunities
  • Prepare and present technical proposal documentation
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited College or University
  • Minimum of 4 years of combined experience in Design, Repair, or Services Gas Turbine Engineering
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
