| Role Summary/Purpose: | The successful candidate will provide design, analysis and hardware support on wind blade, nacelle, spinner components for NPI and customer fulfillment engineering priorities for multi-megawatt wind turbine product platforms. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | Lead Engineer – Wind Blades Nacelle Spinner COE will be part of the GE P&W Renewables Engineering COE, located at Bangalore Engineering Center, JFWTC, Bangalore. - Execute on blade design deliverables for Uprate NPIs, assess conceptual designs for product cost-out, new materials, design robustness strategies. - Support in resolving supplier deviation requests (SDR) and field issues (PAC) collaborating with cross-functional teams from systems engineering, material process, advanced manufacturing engineering, sourcing, supplier quality, logistics teams. - Execute assigned responsibilities with on-time delivery and first-time right quality. - Implement lessons learnt from fleet issues, supplier quality issues into new designs focusing on design robustness & CTQ/CTP - Support blade, nacelle, spinner supplier qualifications interacting with suppliers, sourcing and blade test centers - Support full-blade validation testing working with global blade test centers - Lead component level certifications as per IEC 61400-1 requirements interacting with TUeV NORD and other certification bodies. - Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for programs |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Master's/Bachelor's engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural engineering from an accredited university or college - Minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience designing composite structures |
