Role Summary/Purpose: | For our Technology Department, we are looking for a Engineer Engine Control Systems (m/f) Job reference 2042496 |
Essential Responsibilities: | - Within the German research program JB-X-Clean, develop state of the art control systems for dual fuel reciprocating engines for marine applications - Development of algorithms, specification of application software, implementation, integration, testing - Support Hardware in the Loop and Single- and Multi-Cylinder-Engine Test campaigns - Interaction with peers from Thermodynamics, Systems, Design - Ensure achievement of project milestones with respect to timing and quality - Ensure adherence to design practices and methods, if necessary adoption thereof - Collaborate with external partners - Prepare project reviews - Provide technical consultations to project and team leaders as well as chief engineers - Work on multiple projects simultaneously, under the supervision and guidance of lead and senior engineers |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Advanced technical education in electrical-/mechanical-engineering or computer sciences (technical university – bachelor or master) – focus on control technology, combustion technology - Solid background in control theory including advanced control methodologies - Experience in development of control strategies of combustion engines desired - Knowledge in SW development for embedded systems (C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, AutoCoding, AUTOSAR) - Awareness of efficient software verification and validation processes - Knowledge of requirement management techniques and tools - Knowledge of functional safety development processes - Responsible and team oriented style of work - Good English language skills (spoken and written) - Willingness to work within global distributed teams on common goals - Self Starter, very good analytical skills According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 3.008,65,- gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly. |
