| Role Summary/Purpose: | The Plant Configuration Control Board (CCB) leader will be responsible for the creation and change process of GE's Bill of Material from the Marketing features, product structure, automation rules, and integration with manufacturing or the field. This will be an exciting time to work with new products and new processes that will span all the global teams as well as a broad section of the plant. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | - Lead a team of GE and contract staff in the review and approval of all engineering changes for assigned product lines in accordance with CCM-1 - Ensure BOM changes are complete and accurate with clear engineering substantiation for the change - You will be responsible for Manufacturing, Services and field requirements are addressed as well as product cost impacts - You will be responsible for changes that are consistent with product strategy including NPI, DMP and product improvement introductions - Be responsible for change addresses for all interfacing components and systems - Assign the appropriate CID reviewers & approvers - Develop the strategy and process to enable a true engineering BOM in 2015 - Work with design, configuration management and systems drafting to implement model based designs for manufacturing and plant assemblies for our customers - Represent Plant PSEC at NPI & tollgate reviews, ensure product options and structure are available shortly after tollgate 3 - Actively support and champion Simplification, Continuous Improvement, and cost reduction initiatives |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 8 to 10 years' experience - Min 5 years of GT accessories engineering experience - Excellent written and oral communication. - Ability to work in teams and achieve targets. - Strong interpersonal skills |
