Role Summary/Purpose: The Heavy Oil A/E Leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. A recognized expert in a specialized field. Responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term bus. implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business & region strategy. Work with Customers business leaders and other ind stakeholder to find and execute solutions using GE’s commercial innovation Architecture (Fastworks)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Grow GE’s brand, customer intimacy, market knowledge, portfolio and opportunity pipeline in the Heavy Oil industry for the Middle East Region.

- Lead innovation accelerator projects and pilot projects, joint solutions development, voice of customer activities and strategic partner development initiatives

- Collect voice of the customer data and translate into potential market solutions

- Lead problem solving sessions with multiple stakeholders (engineers/non engineers, customers) utilize, interpret and/or improve existing engineering design documents (P&ID, Single Line diagrams, PFD, plot plans, General arrangement diagrams) to facilitate collaborative dialogue/solution creation

- Provide technical sales and support. Promote and position technology against competitive systems in Greenfield and Brownfield project phases.

- Complete techno-economic evaluations of Greenfield and Brownfield sites in natural resources industry. Pitch analysis/output to stakeholders

- Work with the commercial team to influence customer technical selections

- Manage portfolio of small projects. Identify new technology opportunities and develop business case for execution. Usher products through the new product innovation process (NPI).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors in Chemical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering (or related field)

- At least 10 years related industry experience

Desired Characteristics:
- Masters in Engineering preferred
- Prior experience with the following specializations within the Oil & Gas, Water or Power Industries: o Process Automation (integration of unit operations) o Operations Engineering in Down hole, surface facilities, or hydrocarbon processing (heavy oil preferred) o Primary, secondary and tertiary recovery techniques (steam, polymer, artificial lift etc.) o Reservoir evaluations, management and optimization o Thermal production optimization utilizing field data. o Experience with various artificial lift methods in heavy oil production o Participated in capital project planning and execution. o Participated in maintenance planning and execution o Identify new technology opportunities, and develop detailed business case for their execution. o Combined heat and power generation for EOR operations o Heavy oil asset development, production operations, drilling/completion operations o Produced water treatment, waste management: evaporators, crystallizers, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, lime softening, ion exchange, and water chemistry
- Experience working in the MENAT region
