Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Project Engineer helps the business growth by leading the delivery of contemporary and efficient engineering solutions for our Engineered Systems projects by working with internal and external engineering support teams and the Water and cross-GE teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the conceptual engineering work - mechanical and/or electrical design management of Water Treatment Systems

- Continuous improvement of engineering designs by driving direct material productivity (DMP), in cooperation with Sourcing, Project Management and Commercial/Application Engineers

- Cooperation and coordination of external engineering providers on drawings and basic engineering documents

- Leading Engineering support to specification, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of Water Treatment Packages

- Designs products and systems in compliance with engineering principles, Customer standards and
specifications, contractual requirements and local applicable codes.

- Assures that all engineering documents are diligently and properly executed and accurately documented and stored on the Collaboration Tools

- Understands and drives Project budgeting, scheduling and scope of works fundamental

- Interfaces with Customers with sense of urgency and problem solving attitude

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Specification in Water Treatment is an advantage;

- Proved multiple years Process Design Experience, preferably in water treatment systems;

- Experience on International EPC Projects;

- Previous experience in international working environment;

- Strong focus on Quality;

- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Russian;

- Familiarity with membrane based water treatment systems is an advantage;

- Basic knowledge of SAP is an advantage;

- Willingness and ability to travel 15% of the time.

- GE Leadership Development program (PMDP, PMLP, OMLP, JOLP, RELP or equivalent)

- Experience in Plant/Project Engineering or relevant industry.

- Project Engineering certification

- Plant construction experience

- Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks;

- Leadership skills and ability to effectively operate in a matrix team / organization;

- Ability to organize, assess, orchestrate, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones, and deliverables;

- Diligent, dedicated and detail oriented;

- Microsoft suite proficiency;

- Six Sigma training;

- Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills.
