| Role Summary/Purpose: | The Project Manager will play a key role providing data management, architecture & visualization solutions in support of the Data Lake and Tableau technology as part of Power Generation Field Services BI & Analytics. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | The Information Management (IM) Project Manager - Business Solutions demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. - Establishes and manages client relationships, leads and assists in planning reporting initiatives - Manages medium to large complex projects from initiation through closure by using existing standard practices and processes. Works to transform these practices and processes as necessary to simplify and streamline. - Develops and implements BI and/or Analytics solutions involving application frameworks or architectures, solution design data model and semantic layer through Data lake technology. - Develops and Implements BI and/or Analytics solution Visualizations through Tableau technology. - Reviews Report/Dashboard performance and prepares performance optimization strategy - Develops peer, cross-functional and cross-GE business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness. - Ensures successful transition to support and maintenance teams. - Mentors, coaches, and guides team members as required. |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Demonstrated experience in working and also leading a global team. - Proven ability to assess priorities and organize goals and objectives appropriately. - Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk & issue management and communication - Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneous - Drive to learn new technologies and build in-depth expertise - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver - Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent |
