Role Summary/Purpose: | Highly motivated self -driven researcher to work in the area of distribution automation, renewable integration, smart grid, microgrid, and subsea electrification. |
Essential Responsibilities: | Conduct research in the field of power system analytics, power conversion & control, power electronic applications in power systems, grid integration of renewable energy technologies such as wind and solar for onshore & offshore applications, advanced distribution network operation & control. The candidate will get an opportunity to apply his / her educational training towards developing new concepts / proposal formulations, analysis / modeling, and development of advanced solutions for distribution networks automation. The candidate has to be self-motivated, creative and a team player, with ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems. |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Masters in Electrical Engineering. - In depth knowledge of power system analytics & control, including network modeling, protection, power system dynamics, emerging trends in smart grids, etc. - Experience with power system simulation tools for electromagnetic transients and stability analysis, such as MATLAB / Simulink, PSCAD / ATP, PSLF / PSSe, and other power system analytical tools is mandatory. - Fluency in English. - Fluency in Portuguese. |
